Big Dog Little Bed

Well this past week we've been dog sitting for my mom and Jim. Every year they take a week off and head over to McCall, ID to go snowmobiling. So of course being the youngest and everything they've done for us lately we got the job!! Here's a funny photo of them last weekend.....I don't know what Kimber was thinking but sometimes she likes this little round doughnut bed more then hers.

We were also offered a FREE table from Colton's Uncle Ricki & Aunt Valerie last time we saw them. We were going to wait until May to go down and get it, but with the weather being so nice last weekend we couldn't wait any longer. They had sent us a picture of it and we were really excited especially because we couldn't believe it was free :). So we called them up and the plastic outdoor table is back outside and ready for some more sunny spring days.

I think we might move the light. It definitely fits in though.

The new table even inspired me to make a new table runner out of some fabric I found. When looking for some fabric for another project I found this and had to have it. I'm going to go back to get some more so I can make some napkins to go with it. I'm getting pretty crafty with my sewing machine. Another Free thing I was given by my mom who said "it just wouldn't work for her". :) Thanks mom its working pretty good for me!
After my sewing project I was inspired to work on some more things like figuring out a picture collage I've been putting off. I've had the frames and the pictures developed but its just one of those things its hard to make a decision on. Of course Colton insisted in taking my picture when I hadn't showered, no make up and I looked like a total mess. Well babe, I'm posting a picture of myself but definitely not going to show off my "best side".

Here's the final picture collage. I decided to hang them to the left of the front window.

Here's the pictures I decided on too.

These were just a 4 of 144 engagement pictures that we have. So it was definitely a hard decision. I'll post some more of our favorite photos in the next wedding post. We are so happy with how they all turned out.

SAVE THE DATE - Count Down 194 Days LEFT!!!

Well I figured by now most of our friends and family have received their notice to spend our special day with us. I was really excited about how these turned out! Though I'm a big fan of Etsy.com (check it out if you haven't) I was a little nervous when my sister said you can by the invite on-line, they'll email it to you, and you take it to print where ever you want. I don't know why but I was nervous, but I did it anyway and I love them. Super inexpensive and my local Office Depot did a great job :)

Anyway, YES...... SAVE THE DATE on your Calenders for our WEDDING 9/29/2012

Location: Yellow Gold Farms in Albany, OR. (check out some pictures on their website)http://www.yellowgoldfarms.com/

Catering: Sassy Onion from Salem, OR.  I'll leave out what we're having as a surprise :)      http://www.sassyonion.com/

Photographer: Aniko Productions from Portland, OR. I found them at the Portland Wedding Show and loved their pictures. We met up with them for a meeting at Starbucks and new they were the ones! Super laid back, great photos, and really nice people.

DJ: Destination Events from Eugene, OR. Though this isn't set in stone yet, I'm pretty sure we'll go with them. They seem professional, do a lot of weddings, and are the cheapest I've found. I just want someone to play music for us and at least know what their doing

Our Colors:

Yes we plan on being a little spicy!!

Boy's Outfits: Men's Warehouse.... Of Course :) In dark-grey. Groom in a full suit, groomsmen in everything but the suit jacket with spicy orange ties

The Dress: Cacoon Silk in Portland, OR. I decided to go with this little tiny shop on NW 23rd because they took all my ideas and made the dress for me. It's not going to be a dress I like the top on and have to alter everything else. This dress was everything I came up with and turned into one fabulous piece. I ordered it mid-February and it should be here for me to try on in MAY........ so crazy!!

Bridesmaids: They'll be wearing some sort of orange dress. I'm thinking of leaving it up to them to find their dresses, as long as they're orange :) and silvery-grey shoes

To all of our special girls and boys.......... we havn't forgot about you. We're just trying to figure out the best way to ask you and show you how much we care and want you to be there. We're hoping to figure this out soon :)

Note: I'm going to try and do at least one wedding post each week to keep you all updated and excited about spending our special day with us!!

Strangely a lot happens in 2 weeks

First.......

KIMBER'S BIRTHDAY
Yes her birthday cake was a scoop of peanut butter with real bacon chunks

Colton and I decided after 8 months of dating that we wanted to get a dog "together". Which also meant we didn't want to live in an apartment anymore. So we picked the breeder out of Ontario because they were the only ones in Oregon that bred "blue" weims. Though we didn't show up and pick her ourselves, we filled out a profile and the breeder picked her for us. I don't know how they got it sooo perfect but on our year anniversary drove over and picked her up. I know it sounds silly but we love her to pieces and everyday she surprises us and makes us laugh; she is very much apart of our little family

Second........
We demoed the bathroom!!!

We left the toilet for emergencies :)

Third..........
I made "Smurf" cake. I made the frosting and asked Colton what color he wanted. He said blue! I tried to get him to watch the Smurf movie while we ate it but of course he said "no we've already seen it" :)

Our first weekend home in a while really makes us do silly things.
