Another Project Started

Well we finally got the supplies to start the front bath/laundry room project. Colton and I met after work on Friday so we could have all Saturday and Sunday to work, but of course every time we do a project nothing goes as planned....... Everything was ready for the tub to go in so we opened the right side tub box to find out that the there was a left sided tub in it. So back to Home Depot. Once home, knowing we had the right one this time we started attaching the drain plug and over flow pieces on the tub. Almost finished and about ready to hook up we realized that the piece wasn't long enough for our tub (it was for a standerd height tub and ours is about 3" taller). So another trip to Home Depot and Lowe's. Tub install started about 9:30am and didn't officially end till 8:00pm.

This is all we got done on Saturday!

Sunday we figured everything was going to go a little smoother, but of course not. We got everything to move the faucet and shower head over 2" and Colton went to hook up the new one to make sure everything would work before we tiled and the new faucet was missing the brushed finish screws.....RRRRRrrrrr. Back to Home Depot for another one. Colton finished all the moving over but needed one more piece for the piping. So we both got fed up moved on to the hardi backer and I went and mowed the lawn. I don't think any of our projects have gone smoothly. Its always about 10 trips to Home Depot no matter how hard we try to think of everything before we go.

Well at least its coming together.......very slowly :)

Hippity Hop Hop

I can't believe that I'm just now able to update out Easter post. I've tried three different times this week and because of my extinct dinosaur of a computer it wouldn't let me.

Ever since we got our baby chicks from the farm store, I feel like we have a little bit of Easter everyday :).

Here's what our nine babies our doing every time we walk into the pump house

So we've had quiet the chicken fiasco since we've moved to Kalama. We had five chickens from our friends Garrett & Amy; four of those got ate one day while out roaming the yard. Then with just one lonely old lady (Bess - the checkered one in the bottom of the photo) we decided to check craigslist for some more. We found 4 more pullets (not yet laying chickens) and then 3 of those got ate. Now they are pretty much in lock down, really getting out of their pen. Though we got some baby chicks this spring, I was nervous for our one pullet (Oreo - top of photo) because Bess no longer lays eggs and I didn't think Oreo would now what to do and where to do it come laying time. But she surprised us on Monday with her first EGG!!

Easter at my Mum & Jim's is always crazy, there's always good food, and the kids love it
 And there off!!
Gwynn & Payton's cousin Beau loves joining the craziness on Easter. We always love having him and his parents over too. He's such a riot. His mom, Tarah is pregnant with twins - looking gorgeous but I'm a little nervous for her to have two more Beaus :)

Though Amelia was a little young for egg hunting she loved soaking up the sun. I can't believe how cute this girl is

Then to wear the kids out more we walked over to the park. Gwynn & Payton also got new bikes so they were all jacked up to ride them (except for when they wanted to walk the dogs). Don't let this little man foul you, at almost 4 years-old he is a biking machine - 2 mile rides with dad around town and even hitting up the easy mountain trails when dad lets him go!!

One word...... STUD

I posted this next picture to show how spoiled my mister is and a super easy idea I thought of. Instead of buying jello packs, I decided to just buy the box jello and pour it into small jars. Works pretty good so I think I'm going to do pudding to.

Hope everyone had a good Easter. We've also started announcing our wedding party!! I've told all my girls and the kids in the wedding to, but more on that later....
