Heres a Finished Project!

Here's the moment you've all been waiting for.....

The royal throne :)
Two sink vanity (remember there only use to be one sink) Everything you see here was purchased from ikea. Like everyone says, its a pain in the ass to install an ikea sink but its do-able with a little patients and a few extra trips to home depot
Finished shower. Colton and I both found our new love with this thing. He sits on the bench and soaks in the water every time he gets in
up close view of the tile and grout. We went with a charcoal gray. I got a little nervous though when we started spreading it and it was black as night. But yes they're right it dries half as light then when its first applied

This little addition was the latest ikea purchase....... new bed!!
I wasn't planning on getting this dresser yet but it was in the "as is" section with 25% off and nothing wrong with it plus Monday was an additional 20% off......that's what I like to see
new lamps and a super cute jar vase that Amy & Garrett brought over with some flowers at the friends BBQ the little tag says "Congratulations Colton & Rachel". Thanks Amy that was super sweet

Well things are finally looking up around our house. A project finally completed. Now we're working on putting up doors and moulding. We have most of the doors in but we can't really finish the moulding until we decide on the closet doors. O well I guess. I think we're going to take a few weeks off of house projects and in joy some of the nice weather then..............we're diving into the kitchen (I'm a little scared)

A Little Bit of Yard Work

Last week my sister Sarah came up for some much needed yard work. Also from the engagement party her and Libby got us some really great plants. So here's some of the major work we did......

Front flower bed we added the front row and back rows
This flower bed next to the driveway really needed to be cleaned up. I had transplanted the big bushes earlier but the grass was really over grown. After digging it up we found the first 2-3 feet of cottage stone under neath. Then we got some fresh dirt and filled that in too.
Just a little clean up here

Thursday Sas and I were almost done at 8:30pm when Colton decided he wanted to take us on a drive. The road we live on is a dead end to his companies property....... but we have a key!! We saw some elk and the fox glove were in full bloom. It was so pretty, everywhere you looked there was fields of fox glove. So of course we dug some up and now there planted in the flower bed by the driveway. Instant satisfaction....perfect!! Thanks Sas for all you hard work

After Sas and I both worked our buns off in the yard, Friday we woke up early to go to Portland. She had a farm dinner in North Portland on Saturday that she needed to set-up for. I decided to tag along for fun......it ended up being a lot more hard work then fun :-). I really liked seeing the farm and meeting the farmers though. Its called Wealth Underground (check out their blog its really good) and three single dudes live together and work/live off the farm. As Sas pointed out " its awesome what these boys got going - because three girls could never cooperate long enough to do it". Though I didn't work on Saturday with her at the dinner, in August and September there are 4 other dinners Colton and I are helping out at. He's going to wash dishes and I'm going to serve dinner. Should be super fun.

Engagment Party Weekend

Before the engagement we planned on a friends dinner at our house the next Saturday. After a long week of working on the bathroom our friends barbecue ended up being a friends engagement party at the house. It was our first barbecue and it was so much fun hanging out with the girls, the boys had their "man time" and then we finished off the night with a hilarious game of catch-phrase.

Sunday everyone had a little bit of a late start but the coffee and some homemade blueberry-banana muffins got everyone going. Two of our friend couples, Greg & Sheila, Garrett & Amy stayed the night since their drive is a little further then we'd all like. After breakfast the boys decided to do a little fishing trip up the Kalama....... and the girls did some much needed sun bathing and of course major girl talk.

Then we headed down south to Brownsville where my sisters, Libby & Sarah, through us another mini engagement party. It was the perfect idea since everyone was dieing to see the ring :-)

Tessa - the new edition to the Cooley family; Logan & Jess
 Jess and big sister Kaylie
Logan and the boys' mom Deb Oh & of course Tessa is in there somewhere
Nicole; new sister in-law, Sarah; sister
These next two pictures are so cute. Seeing Colton's grandparents , Dale & Shirley, with their great-grand baby is adorable

This little family is so cute too!
The one and only pic. Thank goodness :-)

Thanks Libby and Sas for the awesome food and party. It was a great way to get everyone together for a little celebration. Also thanks Lib for taking all the photos, but with only one picture of the main attractions I don't think you'll be hired for the main event :-) Love you both

Getting Back to the Grind Stone

Well after a much needed break we were back to the grind stone and working on the master bath. We picked up the tile we ordered on Tuesday when we got back and that night Colton immediately got to work putting it down.

Its in!! After laying the floor we grouted the shower and couple days later we grouted the floor. Friday, I painted the walls while my mum did some touch up painting in the bedrooms. I'm glad she likes doing that because I hate it.

As of today the bath room is COMPLETE. The shower and floor is sealed, the vanity is installed and working, toilet is installed and working, even the mirror glass shelf and lighting.

But you have to wait to see some finalized pictures. Sorry :-)

Whistler Mustache Mullet Tour - Plus Something Special

Sorry its been forever since I last posted. Things have been absolutely CRAZY around our little homestead. Since then we've gone to Whistler and back, started the master bath flooring, actually finished the master bath, have showered in it and even done my make-up in my new mirror :-) But lets start from were I left off........

Mustaches but unfortunately no mullets :(

Gett'in ready for the first big ride

While we were in Whistler they were celebrating Canada day which made everything a little more fun
Muddy booties from the second day of riding.
Sporting the awesome T-Shirts I made the boys...They definitely got some looks
Before we left on Monday it was so gorgeous that we decided to take the Gondola up and do the Peak 2 Peak. What awesome views...I definitely would recommend doing it
This little red gondola is what people ride in to get to the other peak. You are litteraly crossing from one mountain top to another
AAaaaa.........the decline to the top of the valley

We all took some really great pictures together and as couples. After about 2 of these couple shots of us on the third one (as Colton kept on insisting for another picture).............
HOLY S*** HE'S GOING DOWN!! (these were the words from our awesome camera man Adam Cooley)

Yup you guessed it. Colton proposed on this beautiful moutain top with some awesome background views. Apparently he went about 3 weeks before this to pick out and design my ring to be made. Hid the ring in his trucks for about 2 weeks and then some how snuck it into the cameo back pack that I'm wearing before the trip. I wore this backpack a few different times over the weekend with no idea that there was a little special present inside :-) I guess while we were getting tickets to go on the gondola he snuck the ring out of the box and put it in his pocket. No wonder he was acting a little more quiet and weird then normal.
