Mexico 2014 - Part 1

Mexico 2014 was a blast!! It was our first major trip with friends and I definitely wouldn't have chose any other  friends to share it with. We flew down, first class, with Matt and Nicole Thursday. We bought our tickets so far in advance that Matt was able to upgrade us to first-class when the tickets got cheaper. He's an awesome friend to have with you for flying since he knows all the ins & outs. We learned so much from these two when it comes to upgrades :) When we arrived we rented this little tiny car and drove the 1.5 hours north of San Jose Del Cabo to this little "retirement" town called Los Barilles. It was the perfect place to start our vacation. The water was clear, blue, and the beaches were perfect for relaxing and sun bathing.

First stop was a little taco stand that Matt's brother told us about. It looked sketch from the outside but had some amazing tacos.

Driving north. The road was super curvy with some spots that you didn't think two cars would fit. It was a pretty drive though heading north up the Sea of Cortez

We made it!! The two bedroom bungalow was perfect for us! It was the bottom floor of a house that someone lived in. She was originally from the States but now lives in Los Barilles and rents out part of the house. It was right on the water and the last house on the beach.

This orange juice was fresh squeezed by the "Orange-Juice Man" It's pure orange juice and super good; we definitely bought our share of this.

Breakfast

This was our room we stayed in. We had a perfect view of the water.

The patio was perfect for lounging and drinking our morning coffee

We had a fabulous time in Los Barillies the first two days of vacation, but we headed back south to pick up Greg and Sheila then headed to the "resort" where we stayed the rest of the week.
